MURALS TO CELEBRATE HISTORIC UPLANDS

Uplands has many stories to tell

Uplands has many stories to tell

Uplands has many stories to tell

Our murals project highlight the many stories that our Uplands has to tell. The St Helen's Holy Well mural is based at the entrance to the lane behind Brynymor Road and St Helen's Avenue.  Pass by and have a read.

Complimenting Love our Lanes

The mural project goes hand in hand with our Love our Lanes project. At the same time that the mural was commissioned, we worked with the council to arrange clearance and sweeping of the lane to give it a fresh start.

WE DON'T LIKE CRICKET - WE LOVE IT!

History on our doorstep

Celebrating its importance

Celebrating its importance

St Helen's is a true jewel of the Uplands Ward. It was the venue where Sir Garfield Sobers hit 6 sixes in an over in 1968.

Lottery funding was facilitated by Uplands Councillors for the Mumbles Road mural which celebrates the venue.

It's about rugby too!

Celebrating individual legends...

The mural also celebrates the achievement of Swansea Rugby Club in beating the national teams of Australia, New Zealand & South Africa.

There were many individuals that are treasured. A couple of them are also depicted on the mural.

Transport to carry people to the game and other destinations is also celebrated

A fitting tribute

We hope that you think that the mural makes a positive difference.
