Broadway INTERCHANGE & TOWNHILL RD FOOTPATH
BROADWAY INTERCHANGE
The council have now replaced the mini roundabouts with a traffic light system.The basis for the change was that traffic volumes and queuing times at the junctions are due to increase in the future. This was due to increased future housing demand being fulfilled as part of the Local Development Plan.
TOWNHILL ROAD SOUTHERN FOOTPATH
The works involve widening the existing footway, along with upgrading existing pedestrian crossings and improved signage. The footway will become a shared use path. There will be extra tree planting. The bellmouth entrances to the Lons will be narrowed.
CHANGES TO THE SCHEMES THAT WE'VE MANAGED FROM YOUR FEEDBACK
- The right turn from Townhill Road onto the Cockett Road was retained. (The original proposal excluded this and would have meant a large volume of traffic would have been diverted into in Lon Coed Bran)
- A 20mph limit was secured for the Lons
- Extra No Through Road signs for Lon Bryngwyn + yellow lines on the circle
