Your Uplands Party Council Team has carried out a walkabout through the Lons to inspect recent work commissioned by members of the Uplands Party Council Team, to check on a few things that need putting right now, together with a ideas for the future. This is what we found:INSPECTION OF COMMISSIONED WORK:There has been a vast improvement in the road sweeping after a successful negotiation with the council's cleansing department. This will compliment the work on drain clearance. We thank to council workers for their efforts on this.WORK NEEDED NOW:
- Clearance of fly tipping near to Texaco garage by the dog poo bin.
- Reinstatement of the double yellow lines at the entrances to Lons Cwmgwyn and Gwynfryn.
- A more intense clearance of the kerbline of Lon Ger Y Coed.
IDEAS FOR THE FUTURE:
- Look into sourcing grant funding for Cockett Park.
- Examine ways of deterring fly tipping.
We would welcome your input on any other ideas in the comments below. Finally thank you to the residents that came out to talk to us on our walkabout.
